　姉妹都市提携３０周年記念

　デボンポート市から絵本が届きました！

　水俣市とオーストラリア・デボンポート市は、２０２６年２月２７日に姉妹都市提携３０周年を迎えました。

　これまで、両市の学生や市民が交流を重ね、お互いの文化や暮らしについて学び合ってきました。

　３０周年を記念して、デボンポート姉妹都市協会から、水俣市立図書館へ英語と日本語の２か国語で楽しめる絵本を寄贈していただきました。

　これまでの両市の交流に思いを寄せながら、デボンポート市から届いた絵本をぜひ読んでみてください。

　　　　　

　なお、展示期間中は貸出しできません。９月１５日（火）から貸出しを開始します。

　30th Anniversary of Sister City Partnership

　We have received a set of picture books from the City of Devonport!

　Minamata and Devonport, Australia, celebrated the 30th anniversary of their sister city partnership on February 27, 2026.

　Over the years, students and residents from both cities have engaged in numerous exchanges, learning about each other’s cultures and ways of life. 

　To commemorate the 30th anniversary, the Devonport Sister City Association donated some picture books to the Minamata City Library which can be enjoyed in both English and Japanese. 

　Please take a moment to look over the picture books sent from Devonport while reflecting on the exchange between our two cities over the years. 

　Please note that items cannot be checked out during the exhibit period. You will be able to check out these books starting Tuesday, September 15.
